The primary “tool” that Calvary Chapel of Split is using to reach the city is the Global Café, a coffee shop near the center of town.

Over four years ago, Pastor Tim and Grace received a vision from the Lord to do a coffee shop outreach ministry, but up until last year, did not have the funds or the team to be able to do so.  However, God, in His infinite timing, brought Calvary Chapel team members to serve in a café that another ministry had been too short-staffed to operate at full gear. 

Now our ministry team has been operating the Global Café like a typical business; the purpose is to meet people and build relationships with customers.  Cafés are a cornerstone of Croatian culture and society.  Everyone spends much of their free time socializing at the hundreds of cafés in the city.  By operating a café we are a part of the culture, yet at the same time have something different that we are offering: an opportunity to hear about a relationship with Jesus.  We are so thankful to the Lord for His provision and for the opportunities to have more freedom to be able to minister according to the vision the Lord has given us for Split.
